Section 9(1) in The Assam Agricultural Produce Market Act, 1972
(1)Every member of market committee other than the first one constituted by the State Government shall hold office for a period of three years commending from the date of first meeting of the reconstituted market committee at which a quorum is present. The market committee shall, thereafter, be reconstituted every three-years before the expiry of the third year and not earlier than three months prior to such expiry.
