294. Numbering of buildings.
(1)The Commissioner may cause a number to be affixed to the side or outer door of any building or to some place at the entrance of the enclosure thereof.(2)No person shall without lawful authority destroy, pull down or deface any such number.(3)When a number has been affixed under sub-section (1), the owner of the building shall be bound to maintain such number and to replace it if removed or defaced, and if he fails to do so, the Commissioner may, by notice, require him to replace it.
