Section 1 in The Maharashtra Khar Lands Development Act, 1979
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Maharashtra Khar Lands Development Act, 1979.(2)It extends to Greater Bombay and Thane, Kulaba and Ratnagiri Districts in the State of Maharashtra.(3)It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 19th February 1979.
