Section 4(1) in The Mizo District (Forest) Act, 1955
(1)The trees specified in Appendix I to this Act shall be treated as reserved trees. Such trees in Council Forest shall not be cut, felled, tapped or injured in any manner without permission of any kind issued in writing by the Executive Committee or a competent Council Forest Officer appointed in this behalf the Executive Committee in writing.
