Section 25(6)(i) in Bihar State Universities (Patna, University of Bihar, Bhagalpur and Ranchi) Act, 1960

(i)Each Faculty shall comprise such departments of teaching as may be prescribed by the Regulations and the head of every such department shall be the professor of a college department or the University Professor or, if there is no such Professor or University Professor, the Reader of a college department or, as the case may be, the Reader of a University department.
