Section 275(2) in Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919
(2)The [standing committee] [Substituted for 'central committee' by Tamil Nadu Act 22 of 1971.] may declare what amount of superficial and cubic space shall be deemed for the purposes of sub-section (1) to be necessary for each occupant of a building or room.
