Section 9(3) in Bihar State Universities (Patna, University of Bihar, Bhagalpur and Ranchi) Act, 1960
(3)The Vice-Chancellor shall be a whole time officer and shall hold office for a term of three years from the date on which he assumes charge of the office, on the expiration of which term he may be re-appointed for only one more term which shall not exceed three years.
