1. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that without prejudice to her rights and contentions, the appellant is willing to settle the matter amicably if the respondent pays a lumpsum amount of Rs.25 lakhs to her.

2. Learned counsel for the respondent while praying for time to obtain instructions in the regard, submits that for the present, the respondent is willing to enhance the monthly maintenance being paid by him by Rs.2,500/- per month.

3. In the light of the aforesaid, what emerges is that even though both parties stand superannuated and are now leading a retired life, they are still litigating over the quantum of maintenance to be paid by the respondent. While adjourning the matter to 27.04.2023, both parties Signature Not Verified Digitally Signed By:GARIMA MADAN Signing Date:12.12.2022 11:49:22 are directed to file their respective affidavits regarding the amount received by them at the time of their superannuation from their respective employer and the pension, if any, being received by them. Both parties will also file details of their respective movable and immovable assets. In the meanwhile, based on the respondent's offer to pay enhanced maintenance is directed that the respondent will, with effect from 01.01.2023, pay a monthly sum of Rs.7,000/- to the appellant towards maintenance. This payment will however be without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties and would be subject to further orders as may be passed in the present petition.
