                                      ORDER

1. In this Original Application, the applicant has raised a grievance against illegal dumping of solid waste on the land bearing Plot No. 2, District Centre, Jasola and also on the approach road leading from Jasola Metro Station to the Jasola District Centre (near Apollo Hospital and KOS Minar Roundabout). Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the garbage is dumped by the side of the road and also on the Plot No. 2, the boundary of which has been broken and this unabated dumping of garbage is creating the health hazard. He further submits that the applicant had made various complaints to the concerned authorities but no action has been taken till now. The applicant in the OA has pleaded following issues which arise out of the dumping of the garbage on Plot No. 2 and the approach road: -

"i. Emission of foul odour and harmful gases from decomposing waste;
ii. Proliferation of disease vectors such as mosquitoes, flies, and rodents, resulting in outbreaks of vector-borne diseases including dengue, malaria, and chikungunya;

iii. Air pollution due to decomposition and burning of mixed waste, causing respiratory ailments and skin infections;
iv. Frequent waterlogging during the monsoon season, creating toxic runoff and additional breeding grounds for mosquitoes;
v. Fire hazards owing to combustible waste such as plastics, packaging material, and cardboard, which have reportedly caught fire on several occasions."

2. Issue notice to the respondents. Applicant is directed to serve the respondent and file affidavit of service at least one week before the next date of hearing.
