Section 47(1) in The Maharashtra Specified Co-operative Societies Elections to Committees Rules, 1971
(1)As soon as practicable after the closing of the poll, the Presiding Officer shall, in the presence of any candidates or their election or polling agents, close the slit of the ballot box and where the ballot box does not contain any mechanical device for closing the slit, he shall seal up the slit and also allow any polling agent to affix his seal.
