Section 60(6)(b) in The Bharathidasan University Act, 1981

(b)provide courses of study for admission to the examination for degrees of the University of Chennai, shall be deemed to be colleges affiliated to the Bharathidasan University under this Act and the provisions of this Act shall, as far as may be, apply accordingly.
