Section 19(1)(a) in The Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009

(a)admission shall be considered on the need basis. Cases referred by the District Collector, Police officials etc., shall be admitted day to day if necessity arises.
