13. Members of the subordinate ranks of the force not to resign without leave or notice.
- No member [of the subordinate ranks] [Inserted by the Adaptation Order, 1937.] of the force shall be at liberty to resign his office, or to withdraw himself from the duties thereof, without the written permission of the Commissioner or until after the expiry of two months from the date of his giving to the Commissioner a notice in writing of his intention to do so and every member [of the subordinate ranks] [Inserted by the Adaptation Order, 1937.] of the force, who shall so resign or withdraw himself, shall be liable, at the discretion of the Commissioner, to forfeit the whole or part of any arrears of pay then due to him; and shall, in addition, be liable on conviction to fine not exceeding fifty rupees, or to imprisonment not exceeding two months, or to both.
