Section 4(1) in Gujarat Compulsory Primary Education Act, 1961
(1)On receipt of sanction under sub-section (4) of section 3 the local authority shall make a declaration in accordance with the sanctioned education to scheme to the effect that on and from a date to be specified by the State Government, primary education shall be compulsory in the area specified covered by in the declaration for children ordinarily resident in that area and within schemes such age-group and upto such standard as may be specified in the declaration.
