Section 20 in The Punjab Minimum Wages Rules, 1950
20. Mode of computation of the cash value of wages.
- The retail price at the nearest [retail] [Word 'retail' inserted, vide Punjab Government Notification No. GSR 149/C.A. 11/48/S.30/Amd./74, dated 10.12.1974.] market shall be taken into account in computing the cash value of wages paid in kind and of essential commodities supplied at concession rates. This computation shall be made in accordance with such directions as may be issued by the Government from time to time.
