This petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.91 dated 9.4.2008 lodged for offences under Section(s)420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC with Police Station, Division No.5, Ludhiana.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner had no role to play in the deceit or forgery of documents. The petitioner, in discharge of duties, was required to verify the loan document and residence proof. No infirmity in that regard has been found. The cheques submitted as security which had been dishonoured were to be taken by the Manager and not the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the respondent-
State, on instructions from Paramjit Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector, states that the petitioner has joined investigation on 13.10.2008 and is not required for further investigation. Counsel for the State has further informed the Court that the petitioner is not involved in any other case of similar nature.
Having regard to the above, this
petition is allowed.
Order dated 1.9.2008 is hereby made
absolute and it is directed that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be enlarged on bail on furnishing of bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer, subject to the following conditions :-
"(i) The petitioner shall make himself available for interrogation as and when required;
(ii) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any police officer; and
(iii) The petitioner shall not leave India without the previous permission of the Court."
This order shall enure till 10 days after the petitioner receives a notice of filing of final report u/s 173, Cr.P.C. within which period, the petitioner would be at liberty to apply for regular bail.
