Section 53(1) in The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law relating to the establishment of a University in West Bengal for the time being in force, or the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, or orders made thereunder, on and from the appointed day, the North Bengal campus at Pundibari, regional research stations and sub-stations of Hill and Old Alluvial Zone and Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Kalimpong shall stand disaffiliated from the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (hereinafter referred to in this Act as the former University) and be transferred to, and maintained by, the University immediately preceding such day.
