Section 421 in Civil Court Rules of the High Court of Judicature at Patna

Commissioners who are Judicial Officers are not entitled to fees, nor to any further remuneration than is permissible under the Government Travelling Allowance Rules. Nothing should therefore be demanded of the parties for the expenses of a commission issued to such an officer in excess of the sum so permissible. The sum paid will be credited to Government and the Commissioner will recoup himself by drawing travelling allowance under the Bihar Travelling Allowance Rules.Note. - The above rule also applies a Judicial Officer proceeds to make a local investigation or to examine a witness in a case pending before him.
