In the instant matter, the petitioner has been in custody since 20.03.2020. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner charge-sheets have been filed but the charges are not yet framed.

The High Court had relied upon the antecedents of the petitioner which included two cases registered against him under Signature Not Verified Digitally signed by the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Indu Marwah Date: 2021.12.18 12:59:11 IST Reason: Act, 1985. Mr. Gautam Jha, learned counsel submits that in both the matters the petitioner has been bailed out. 2 Considering the circumstances on record, we direct the Trial Court in the present matter to consider whether charges need to be framed or not.

Let the exercise be undertaken as early as possible and preferably within two months of the receipt of the copy of this order.

With these observations, the SLP stands disposed of. Pending applications, if any, shall stand disposed of.
