Section 1258(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)Under rule 281 of the Bengal Financial Rules the incumbent, whether permanent or temporary, of an appointment for whose benefit a house has been constructed, or purchased, or leased by the Provincial Government, is held responsible for the prescribed rent during the tenure of the appointment.
