Mr. Arihant K Nahar, Advocate for the petitioner.
Petitioner by way of present public interest litigation has claimed the
following reliefs:
" It is, therefore, most humbly and respectfully prayed that
the present petition may kindly be allowed and the
Hon'ble Court may be pleased to :-
a. allow the present petition and may kindly issue the
appropriate directions to respondent to release the details
(including full name, gender, address and affected person of the corona virus to public at large to9 strengthen the existing system of monitoring, isolation and quarantization, or b. Direct the State Government to create a separate website incorporating the details (including full name, gender, address and photograph) of the affected for possibility affected person of the Corona Virus which requires registration to login and access the details, this will also help the administration to find out who access the data and will certainly avoid the possible misuse of data.
c. Any other reliefs this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the present matter." At the outset, learned counsel for he petitioner stated that after the filing of the petition, order has been passed by the administration prohibiting the disclosure of the names of the persons who were infected with corona virus which is to be impugned.
A prayer is made that he may be allowed to withdraw this petition with liberty to file a fresh one including challenges to the said order by furnishing better particulars in accordance with law.
Accordingly writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with aforesaid liberty.
