44. Penalty for contravention of section 25 or section 26.
- Whoever contravenes the provisions of section 25 or section 26 shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than [one year and six months] [Substituted by section 23, Act 53 of 1988, for 'six months' (w.e.f. 29-9-1988).] but which may extend to six years and with fine.
