258. Registration of places for disposal of the dead.
(1)Every owner or keeper of a place not vested in or owned by the Corporation or a Board appointed by the State Government for the administration of such place, which is used for burying, burning or otherwise disposing of the dead, shall cause the same to be registered in a register which shall be kept by the Chief Executive Officer and shall deposit to the office of the Corporation at the time of registration a plan of such place prepared by a surveyor.(2)All burial and burning grounds, public or private, shall be registered in the book of the Corporation in such manner as may be determined by regulation.(3)The provisions of this Chapter shall be subject to the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 (18 of 1969).
