(2)Where a sentence of imprisonment and/or fine is imposed, reward may, in the discretion of the Excise commissioner, be granted to the excise officers responsible for such conviction:Provided that the aggregate amount of the reward thus granted in any one case, shall not exceed rupees fifty thousand, if the reward is given by the Excise Commissioner.
