Section 333(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)Expenses incurred in feeding and transporting prisoners while in transit from police-stations to headquarters, and of hajat prisoners made over temporarily to the police for purposes of detection as well as the cost of conveyance of stolen property and other articles sent to the Court will be paid by the District Magistrate.
