(4)The medical authority may, having regard to the nature of the defect or disease, issue a certificate of fitness valid for six months or for the duration of one round voyage, whichever is longer.Note. - Sub-rule (2), (3) and (4) shall not apply to new entrants examined in accordance with the standards prescribed in Part I of Annexure 'A' to these rules.
