(1)The number of seats as on the appointed day in the Legislative Assemblies of the States of Haryana and Punjab and the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh shall be fifty-four, eighty-seven and fifty-six, respectively.(2)In the Second Schedule to the Representation of the People Act, 1950 -(a)after entry 4, the following entry shall be inserted, namely :-"4A. Haryana .. .. 54";(b)in entry 11 for the figures "154", the figures "87" shall be substituted; and(c)in entry 16, for the figures "4-", the figures "54" shall be substituted.
