Section 21 in The Bengal Muhammadan Marriages And Divorces Registration Act, 1876
21. Appeal against refusal to register. -
An appeal shall lie against an order of a Muhammadan Registrar refusing to register a marriage or divorce, to the Registrar to whom such Muhammadan Registrar is subordinate, if presented to such Registrar within 20 days from the date of the order, and the Registrar may reverse or alter such order; and the order passed by the Registrar on appeal shall be final.
