(2)A protected tenant who desires to exercise the right conferred by sub-section (1) shall make an offer to the landholder stating the price which he is prepared to pay for the land-holder's interest in the land up to fifteen times for dry lands or eight times for wet lands irrigated by wells and six times of wet lands irrigated by other sources, of the rent payable by him, and where he is not entitled to purchase the whole of the land, the portion thereof which he is entitled to purchase.] [Added by Act No.III of 1954.]
