Section 288(5) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965

(5)No police officer, or Councillor or officer or servant of the Council, including the pound-keeper, shall, directly or indirectly purchase any cattle at a sale under sub­sections (1) or (2).
