 .                Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner.                    The

grievance of the petitioner is that the name of the father of petitioner has been incorrectly mentioned in the Secondary School Certifcate, on the basis of which renewal of the petitioner's passport is not permitted. The application of the petitioner is rejected on the ground that the name of the father is not correctly mentioned in the Secondary School Certifcate.

2. The education offcer can consider the application of the petitioner in view of the fact that Clause 26.4 of the ::: Uploaded on - 13/12/2019 ::: Downloaded on - 15/12/2019 05:36:39 ::: (2) WP-15061.2019.odt Secondary School Code is held to be directory. The Education Offcer shall not reject the application on the ground that the petitioner has left the school.

3. The respondent No.2 Education Offcer shall consider the application of the petitioner on its own merits. In light of the matter, the petition is allowed and impugned order is set aside.
