Section 30(5) in Tamil Nadu Hackney Carriage Act, 1911
(5)Action to be taken by [Deputy Commissioner] [Substituted for the word 'Commissioner' by section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Hackney Carriage (Amendment) Act, 1964 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1964).], -The [Deputy Commissioner] [Substituted for the word 'Commissioner' by section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Hackney Carriage (Amendment) Act, 1964 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1964).] shall enter the fact of such sentence in the register referred to in section 20, and shall either suspend or cancel such licence according to the direction of the Magistrate and if it has been suspended, the [Deputy Commissioner] [Substituted for the word 'Commissioner' by section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Hackney Carriage (Amendment) Act, 1964 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1964).] shall, on application, at the end of the period of suspension, re-deliver such licence or badge to the person to whom it was granted.
