CONTEMPT CASE No.2757 of 2024
ORDER:- (per Hon'ble Sri Justice G.Narendar)
1. This Contempt Case is filed against the Respondents for wilful disobedience of the order dated 08.02.2024 passed by this Court in W.A.No.249 of 2021.
2. Heard learned counsel for the complainant and learned counsel for the respondents. Sri J.Pradeep Kumar, Secretary, APPSC is also present virtually.
3. Learned counsel for the respondents would submit that as a Special Leave Appeal was preferred against the order, the order was not implemented with. Now, as the Special Leave Appeal has been rejected by the Hon'ble Apex Court, steps have been taken to comply with the order. The delay has occurred in view of the resignation tendered by the Chairman and appointment of new Chairman. New Chairman has been appointed now and the process which got stalled has recommenced and the directions issued by this Court will be complied, within three (03) weeks. 2
4. Sri J.Pradeep Kumar, Secretary, APPSC also reiterates the same.
5. The submissions of both the learned counsel for the respondents and Sri J.Pradeep Kumar, Secretary, APPSC are placed in record.
6. Accordingly, the Contempt Case stands closed. In the event the compliance of issuing appointment is not complied within three (03) weeks, the Complainant is at liberty to seek for revival of the Contempt Case.
Consequently, Interlocutory Applications, if any, pending shall stand closed.
