(8)On being satisfied that the specified requirements with respect to criteria for granting medium term open access are met, the Nodal Agency shall grant medium term open access for the period stated in the application.Provided that for reasons to be recorded in writing, and with the consent of the applicant, the Nodal Agency may grant medium term open access for a period less than that sought for by the applicant.Provided further that in case the open access capacity available is less than capacity sought and there are two or more applications for same period, then the available capacity shall be proportionally allotted to each applicant if they so consent.
