Section 228 in The Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956
228. Misuse of and leaving open valves and tampering with valves and hydrants.
- No person shall-(a)open or keep open the valves of any water-works used for the supply of water to the public by any means other than the use of pressure by the hand; or(b)having opened such valve, fail to close the same or leave the same open or tamper with any valve or hydrant not intended for the supply of water to the public.
