5. Qualifications.
- No person shall be eligible for appointment to the branches and categories mentioned in column (1) of the Table below unless he possessed the qualifications specified in the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof.| Branches and categories | Qualifications. |
| Branch ICategory 1. Headmaster (Grade I) of SecondarySchools having strength over 1,000 pupils. | A Degree of B.A. or B.Sc. with B.T., or B.Ed, ofany University recognised by the University Grants commission forthe purpose of its grant and experience for a period of not lessthan five years in either of category 1 to 3 of Branch II. Theexperience shall be reckoned from the date of acquiring B.T., orB.Ed, degree. |

Headmaster (Grade II) of SecondarySchools having strength less than 1,000 pupils. | A degree of B.A., or B.Sc. with B.T., of anyUniversity recognised by the University Grants Commission for thepurpose of its grant and experience for a period of not less thanfive years in either of category 1 to 3 of Branch II.
