4. Application of certain of the foregoing definitions to previous Bengal Acts
- The definitions in section 3 of the following words, that is to say, "affidavit," "Magistrate," "month," "oath", and "swear," apply also, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context, to all Bengal Acts, made between the first day of June, 1867, and the commencement of this Act.
