Section 64 in University of Udaipur Teachers (Conditions of Service) Rules, 1976

64. Extraordinary leave.

- (i) Extraordinary leave shall be without pay and allowances and may be granted only when no other kind of leave is admissible.
(ii)The period of extraordinary leave shall not count for increment except as otherwise provided for in rule.
(iii)Except in case of a permanent teacher, the duration of extraordinary leave on any one occasion shall not exceed the following limits:
(b)Three months for those who have not completed three years service.
(b)Six months, in the case of a teacher who has completed three years or more of continuous service on the date of commencement of the leave admissible to him under the rules and his application for such leave is supported by a Medical Certificate.
(c)Eighteen months when the teacher is suffering from tuberculosis or leprosy or cancer or mental diseases and is undergoing treatment in a recognised clinic or under a specialist.
