Section 2(i) in The Town Panchayats, Municipalities and Municipal Corporations (Collection of Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments) Rules, 1999
(i)"municipality" means a municipal corporation or a municipality or town Panchayat in the State of Tamil Nadu;
