                 PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of
                 India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to
                 call for the records relating to the impugned Government Order passed
                 by the first respondent vide G.O.Ms.No.42, Environment and Forests (FR.
                 2) Department dated 29.02.2016 insofar as the proviso clause in Rule 5
                 in the table in column 3 of the Special Rules for Tamil Nadu Forest
                 Subordinate Service and the consequential impugned notification passed
                 by       the   second   respondent in   his   proceedings   No.12/2018      dated
                 04.07.2018 insofar as the preferential qualification is concerned and
                 quash the same as illegal and consequentially to direct the respondents

                 to make selection on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates
                 pursuant to the notification dated 04.07.2018 for appointment to the post
                 of       Forest   Apprentice    2017-2018   irrespective   of   the   preferential
                 qualification (B.Sc., Forestry) possessed by the candidates.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner has circulated a letter dated 10.02.2020 seeking permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition. Accordingly, the matter appeared today under the caption "for withdrawal" and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2.In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
