Section 23 in The United Provinces Tenancy Act, 1939
23. Fixed-rate tenants
. - (1) When in Agra any land in a district or portion of a district which is permanently settled has been held by a tenant from the time of the permanent settlement at the same rate of rent, such tenant shall have a right of occupancy at that rate.(2)Such tenant shall be called a fixed-rate tenant.
