Section 1(28) in The Calcutta Metro Railway General Rules, 2000
(28)"Buffer Block" means the ATP block behind a train/obstruction to remain clear when an approaching train stops on service brake and is design to be of sufficient length to ensure train stop within the block on emergency brakes in the event of failure of service brakes.
