(1)This Act may be called the Cotton Textiles Cess Act, 1948 .(2)It extends to the whole of India, except 2 the territories which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956 , were comprised in Part B States].(3)It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 31st day of December, 1947 .
