Section 13(1) in The M.P. Reorganisation Act, 2000
(1)Every sitting member of the Legislative Assembly of the existing State of Madhya Pradesh elected to fill a seat in that Assembly from a constituency which on the appointed day by virtue of the provisions of Section 10 stands allotted, with or without alteration of boundaries, to the State of Chhattisgarh shall, on and from that day, cease to be a member of the Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh and shall be deemed to have been elected to fill a seat in Legislative Assembly of Chhattisgarh from that constituency so allotted.
