Section 3 in The U.P. Epidemic Diseases Regulations, 1983
3. Inoculation of pilgrims.
- No person shall enter upon and proceed along a pilgrim route or shall be carried by any vehicle, dandy or jhams along such route unless he has been inoculated against cholera within six months of such entry or carriage and produces a certificate to the effect issued by a Medical Officer or Medical Officer of Health or Epidemic Assistant or Sanitary Inspector certificate signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner of modern medicine (Allopathy) will also be accepted if it is countersigned by the Honorary Secretary or President of the local branch of the Indian Medical Association and bears his seal of office.
