(Interruptions) … * SHRI P.D. ELANGOVAN : Sir, I would like to speak on the menacing problem of female infanticide in several districts of Tamil Nadu. The programmes initiated to prevent female infanticide is not functioning properly at present. The Government should implement a comprehensive project with more financial assistance to prevent this evil.
Mr. Deputy-Speaker, Sir, in this year of Empowerment of Women, I take this opportunity to urge upon the Government to take necessary steps to prevent the menacing problem of female infanticide with systematic and streamlined projects.
