1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Assam Health (Prohibition of Manufacturing, Trade, Advertisement, Storage, Distribution, Sale and Consumption of Zarda, Gutkha, Panmasala etc. Containing Tobacco and/or nicotine) Act, 2013.(2)It extends to the whole of Assam.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
