Section 6(d) in U.P. Technical University Act, 2000

(d)to hold examinations for, and to grant and confer degrees or other academic distinctions to, and on persons, who:

(i)have pursued a course of study in a college; or

(ii)have carried on research in a college recognized in that behalf by the University, under conditions laid down in the Regulations;
