- No shot shall be fired in a mine except by means of a shotfiring apparatus of a type approved by the Chief Inspector and subject to such conditions as he may from time to time specified by notification in the Official Gazette:Provided that where special conditions exist, the Chief Inspector may, by an order in writing and subject to such conditions as he may specify therein, permit the use of any other shotfiring apparatus.
