1. Short title and commencement.
(1)These rules may be called [The Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection)] [ Substituted 'Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Regulation and Prevention of Misuse)' by G.S.R. 109(E), dated 14.2.2003 (w.e.f. 14.2.2003).] Rules, 1996.(2)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
